Rapid population growth has been pushing us to cultivate almost all of arable area on this planet already, and the growth still have no sign of settle. This unstoppable growth will trigger a serious food crisis soon.
There is a situation today in which adequate nutrition does not reach the poor area, because of intensified competition of food by economic and unequal distribution. And the future situation will be even worse. Animal Protein, such as meat, eggs, butter etc. are expensive ingredients, which requires large environmental burden, and it is expected that acquisition becomes extremely difficult in poor countries.
So, we, as energy designer, have launched the development platform of cheaper and easier Animal Protein mass-production system. Our goal is to standardize and optimize the insect farming system together with other professions at this platform. It is to realize everyone in the world to live healthy with our project.

止まるところを知らない人口増加、地球表面を開墾し尽くした人類。やがて深刻な食糧危機が来ると言われている。
今後訪れる食糧争奪戦の激化や、経済格差による不平等分配により、充分な栄養が貧困エリアに行き渡らない事態が生じる。その中でも「動物性タンパク質」は、環境負荷が大きく、ライフサイクルアセスメントの高い贅沢な食物で増産が難しい。そのため、貧困国において動物性タンパク質の入手が極めて困難になることが予想される。
そこで私たちは今、簡単に、安価で量産できる、動物性タンパク質の生産システムの設計と、その開発プラットフォームの構築を始めた。この活動の目標は、昆虫養殖システムの標準化と最適化である。地球環境に対し、エネルギー負荷が低く、エネルギー効率の良い新たな産業の創出を実現し、世界の誰もが健康に生きる権利を獲得することが我々のゴールである。
